During my short vacation in Boracay, I had the chance to meet and found a new friend who by the way the is the Admin Manager of The Tides Hotel Boracay, Mr. Norman B. Tamayo. Special thanks to him, I had the chance to experience what it feels like to be in elbow to elbow with some elite people in the country, hahahaha….

During my first night in Boracay, a friend who is now based in Boracay, one of the managers of Shangri-la Boracay, Jermaine T., invited us to the 2nd anniversary of The Tides Hotel Boracay. I was shy and hesitant at first since we were not a guest in the hotel, but what the heck! We were invited!

There, Jermaine introduced us to Mr. Norman Tamayo, he pin point to us every guest who are in there. There were models, celebrities, businessmen, including the owner of the Tides which happen to be the same owner of Club Embassy and The Manor. Although we were not that comfortable when we where there, we still managed to enjoy the moment. Did i mentioned the bottomless drinks?? hahahah… i forgot the name of what we were drinking, but it really tastes good!

AS the years passed, the children grew and numbered 14. One day there was a knocking at the door. Adam opened the latch and the heavenly Father stepped in. Eve quickly invited the Lord to sit down. “Thank you,” he said as he was offered something to drink. “Are the children near?”

Quickly, Adam called the children and seven of them marched the room and stood politely in front of the Lord. He arose, smiled, and said, “Iwold like to give each of you a blessing.” They knelt before him as he placed his hands on their heads. To the first he said, “You will become a mighty King.” Turning to the second, he said, “You will be a princess.” The third also received his blessing to become scholars and merchants.

When Adam and Eve saw how marvelously God had blessed their Children, they ran out and found all the others. In trooped the last seven, out of breath. Again the Lord smiled and said, “I would also like to give my blesing to these children.” Adam and Eve smiled in anticipation.

Reaching the first, the Lord said, “You will be a domestic servant.” To the second, “You will become a farmer.” The three received the blessing to be a shoemaker. Others were blessed to become blacksmiths, tanners, and seamstresses.

When Eve heard the blessings for the last group, she cried, “Lord, this is not fair. You distribute your blessings so unequally. All of these are my children, and yet you have made some to be kings and some servants.”

God listened to Eve and replied, “Eve, you do not understand. It is necessary for me to provide for all of the tasks on earth through your children. If all were kings and princesses, there would be no one to farm or provide food. If all were counts, who would provide clothing? Everyone serves a different function, and in my eyes they are all important. Like the parts of the body, they all blend together and support one another.”

Then Eve answered, “O Lord, forgive me. I was too hasty in arguing with you. I want your divine will to be done for all my children.”

Im so busy studying and reviewing for the Bar Exam that i came to a point that i have been missing so much in my life. Even though I am okay, in the sense that iam normal (so i think), but then I can feel that im sad.

I guess its the sacrifice i have to make to achieve my dreams. I have to give up  time to spend with my love ones… my family and friends and even my special someone :D… Im sad thinking that i missed so many family days… time that i was supposed to spend with my family. I missed my parents, my siblings and my nephews and nieces. And I had forgone The gimmicks and other leisure that i was fond of doing – all of these just to achieve my dreams.

Im so nervous right now, September is here already. I cannot help not to think that Im not yet ready, not yet prepared to hurdle the bar. My love ones kept me going, they are my inspiration. When im losing my self, when my walls are falling, when my shield is breaking and when my strength is failing.. I just think of them and tell my self that im doing this for them, close my eyes and pray to God to guide me all the way. after that, im back to being Okay….

Soon my adversities will be over. My life, after the Bar and passing it, is already planned up. Build my future and spend time with the important people in my life.
