Thank God Its Friday! why so? I dunno, It just feel good to say that, as if I had a very busy and tiring week, but the truth is i was just at home studying my ass out over Law on Persons and Family Code of the Philippines, and Law on Property, Ownership, and its Modifications – covering Book I and Book II of the New Civil Code of the Philippines (NCC). I was trying to finish those two books so I can proceed reading for the coming week the Revised Penal Code covering the General Principles, Book I of the Revised Penal Code. But to my dismay, I was able to finished first Book II and started reading Book I of NCC last Thursday and I hope I can finish it this Saturday.

Night came, I dunno what came to me. Ive been reading the whole day, and decided to come along with my friend Sirelevee, whom I texted that afternoon and she mentioned that she will be in Banchetto in Ortigas to buy some ‘ensaymada’. She told me that when I decided to come along i’ll just text her. That night, I called her up in her cellular phone telling her that i’m on my way, but then she told me that she’s still in MetroWalk in Ortigas and instantly told me to drop by first there. OMG! I was just wearing a simple shirt, pants that I already wore three (3) times this week, and slippers… and she wanted me to go to MetroWalk?

Metrowalk Commercial Complex is the newest entertainment place in Pasig city located at the crossroads of Meralco and Julio Vargas Ave.

Metrowalk offers a nice variety of establishments, including bars and restaurants. For entertainment, Metrowalk also has an eclectic blend of bars to choose from. Aside from bars and restaurants, Metrowalk also have Bazaars consisting of variety of shops with an assortment of items at an affordable price. Indeed, Metrowalk is one of the colorful leisure places in town. Even though I was just simply dressed up, I did not feel embarrassed nor ashamed on how I look that night. Not that I’m being cocky, but I know that night that I can carry myself, knowing that I don’t look indigent nor beggarly looking, but looked classy or deluxe instead… in my home shirt. Haahahahh

I met sirelevee and here niece infront of Gamefrog, and ordered San Mig Light for us. When it was already passed midnight, we already proceeded in Banchetto. From Metrowalk, we walked for a couple of minutes and reached a street Full of tents. Sirelevee described the place as the Jatujak in Ortigas. This was the first time that I’ve been in Banchetto.

BANCHETTO is an italian word meaning “a feast.” BANCHETTO is NOW a SATURDAY EARLY MORNING Street Fiesta. BANCHETTO Vendors offer an array of home specialty food, Filipino delicacies, Asian food varieties, FRESH fruits, veges, meat and seafoods. Most of the food served are freshly cooked right in front of your eyes. The “BANCHETTO Saturday EARLY Morning Street Fiesta” starts from 12:01 AM and ends at 11:00 AM maximum, EVERY SATURDAY weekend, from hereon and every Saturday weekend thereafter!

I cannot decide what to eat when I was there. I bought a chocolate cake to eat at home, I bought carbonara that isn’t satisfying because it lacked the taste that is proper for a good carbonara. I was supposed to be on a diet because iam gaining weight, but then I can’t help my self to eat that night.

It was sunday, i was in megamall and buying a reviewer while waiting for my friend,when a strong rain came. So we decided to have our late lunch there instead. Having a hard time where and what to eat,we came across this place called JATUJAK, a place where a Thai food is their specialty.

JATUJAK is a place in Thailand. Chatuchak (or Jatujak) weekend market in Bangkok is the largest market in Thailand, and largest of the world. Frequently called J.J., it covers over 35 acres (1.13 km²) and contains upwards of 15,000 stalls. It is estimated that the market receives between 200,000 and 300,000 visitors each day. Most stalls only open on Saturdays and Sundays. The market offers a wide variety of products including household items, clothing, Thai handicrafts, religious artifacts, collectibles, foods, and live animals.

The first thing you notice when you entered Jatujak is the colorfully designed walls with a touch of Thai artistry. The main counter is decorated with bottles of Thai spices mimicking the street markets in Bangkok City. The predominantly lavender colored theme suits well with the authentic Thai food that is being served in Jatujak, paradise Philippines

Im not really familiar with Thai foods, but friend does, so i let him ordered the food for us.

He ordered Spicy Tom Yum and spicy chicken curry. Serving was fast. The food was soooo HOT! Spicy! but superbly delicious.. hehehe.. (exaggerated!)

as u sip the soup of Tom Yum, it seems that the spicyness scuff off your throat, in a good way. I often eat chicken curry, but this one is different, it’s so spicy! I enjoyed the luscious and strong taste. He even joked that i will smell like our food for the next few days… For real?

It was Wednesday, i went to the gym in the morning and then decided to cook something for lunch and to include my dinner… I went to the Supermarket and there i thought of what to cook until i decided to cook menudo. I bought the ingridients and proceeded at home…

Here’s how i did it, my style:

Ingredients:

1/4 pork

1/4 liver

3 pcs Hotdog

1 regular size carrot

2 Regular size potato

1 bell pepper

2 Tomatoes

Garlic and Onions

Saute the pork together with the liver, tomatoes, bellpepper until the meats are cooked. Then add the vegetables. add some spices to taste… that’s it… hmmmmmm delicious!

It was Sunday, since i no longer have a regular class every Sunday morning, I decided to spiced up my day a little, and have something home cooked for lunch.

I went to the supermarket and bought ingredients for my first “Sinigang na Bangus”… hahahah

Even though i didn’t have the complete ingredients, i managed to come up with a superb result.. (LOL)

this is how i DID it, to wit:

1. Put all together the ingredients to a pan (the ingredients i bought that day)

• sliced Milk fish (bangus)
• radish
• tomatoes
• gabe (that’s it)

2. when its already boiling, i put 1 piece of tamarind broth cube on it.

3. Other spices and mixtures to taste…

4. put the talbos

Thats it! Delicioso! I already have Viand for lunch and dinner.. hahahaha

Then, I went to my Taxation Review Class around 4:30 in the afternoon, until 8:30 in the evening.

After a disappointing class that night, i decided to go anywhere where my feet will lead me. When i was with my friend Sire and looking for somewhere to eat, somewhere where we (either singly or collectively) haven’t gone before. After a tiring walk, there, hidden somewhere a place called Mexicali. Yup, sounds like Mexico, the interiors are mexically inspired, as well as the background music. But how about the food? I haven’t been in mexico, i have no idea what the taste would be if it is really mexically made, but i have eaten tacos and other so-called mexican food. I’ll just give this a try to stop wondering if the taste differ from those of “Taco Bell” hahahah.

I didn’t order Taco or Burrito though, because i was soooo hungry and i wanted to eat rice (i excused my self that night for high carbo diet). So, I ordered roast pork but then i received sizzling pork chop instead, what heck! im so hungry i didn’t even tried to complain, and just ate what’s in front of me. My friend Sire ordered roast chicken. Our Order came 10-12 minutes after, not bad.

The food presentation was good, vegies are fresh, the meat still juicy and tasty.. It was good. I just can’t distinguish it to other porkchop or chicken i tried in “Mang Charlie’s Tapsilogan”, I cannot tell the difference, hahhahah. Just don’t mind the “kobyertos” or utensils, they failed in that aspect. I dunno if thats just me or i share the same sentiments with the other customers, their utensils are substandard, like those thin-and-easy-to-bend spoon and fork. :D

Anyway, over all, since i was satisfied that night, I’ll gave them the rate of “good”, not bad. The price ranges from 90 – 200 Php excluding of drinks and the place really makes you feel somewhere in south america.

Nota Bene: Just make sure that your Iced Tea is bottomless, because the dip you’re going to use is sooooo HOT!!

After my professor failed to appear in class (again and again), my friend decided to eat somewhere that is new in our taste. While trying to find that particular place, we came across this food shop called “Sanfo Treats”,  The Original Caramel Apple. I admit, the apples looks good covered in chocolates and other varieties of design that looks good as well in the eye. Sire, my friend, decided to buy 2 and gave to me the other one (she bought one for her food review), then we proceeded to find a place to eat.

At home, while i was in front of my at computer “plurking” (plurk.com), i remembered this candy apple that Sire bought, and decided to eat it… …

OMG! as in Oh my Gosh!…

you will like this Candy Apple if:

1. you like sweets

2. you like sweetssss

3. you like sweeeeettttttss

4. you like to eat apples

5. You don’t care about your teeth

6. you like it messy

what’s with the drastic comment you may ask. Well, first, it’s just an apple covered with caramel and chocolates. Second, the caramel-chocolate cover will fall-off, then just eat the apple alone without the cover chocolates. Third, its messy to eat. Fourth, you’ll hurt your self… why?  my  tooth aches right after i ate that darn caramel, i should have just bought a plain apple instead.. huhuhuhu  :((

YEAH, it really looks good… for display only, i dare u to eat it.
